1. Digital Key
Each of the Grand Highlander’s three grades comes with Digital Key capability, plus a one-year subscription to Remote Connect, which is required to use your Digital Key. With this technology, you can use your smartphone in place of a physical key fob to unlock the doors and start the engine. You’ll just need to have Bluetooth enabled and the Toyota app running in the background. You can even share your Digital Key with up to seven friends or family members.
2. Adaptable Seating for Seven or Eight
Whether you choose the standard seven-passenger seating with second-row captain’s chairs or the available eight-passenger seating with a reclining second-row bench, the Grand Highlander keeps everyone comfortable with three-zone auto climate control and second-row retractable window sunshades. Its third row is easy to access and is made for adults, with plenty of legroom and large windows.
The Grand Highlander also has convenient storage, including 13 cup and bottle holders and 20.6 cu. ft. of cargo space behind the third row. When you fold both rows of rear seats, you’ll reveal a massive 97.5 cu. ft. of cargo space. The Grand Highlander’s standard power liftgate opens with the press of a button, making loading and unloading easy and convenient.
3. Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
When standard cruise control reaches its limitations, the Grand Highlander’s Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) comes in, automatically adapting to conditions on the highway. With this system, you’ll set your cruising speed and preferred following distance, and the Grand Highlander’s sensors will detect the vehicle ahead of yours. If there’s a slowdown, DRCC automatically adjusts your speed. You can even use this system together with Lane Tracing Assist to help you stay centered in your lane.
4. Toyota Audio Multimedia
Controlling your Grand Highlander’s audio and vehicle settings is intuitive thanks to a 12.3-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen that’s conveniently located at the center of your dashboard. Whether you have the standard six-speaker audio system or the available 11-speaker JBL Premium Audio system, you can enjoy your favorite sounds on SiriusXM radio or directly from your smartphone when you connect it using wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
